WHY SPORT MATTERS
A kindness that stayed with me.
Growing up in Delaware, I was told that Philadelphia football was my “home team.” Then, in fifth grade, a new classmate named Scott arrived from San Francisco.
At a time when other children could be unkind, Scott was simply kind. He explained football, shared his love of San Francisco football, and helped me see that the teams we support can be about more than where we live. They can be about friendship, belonging, and the people who make us feel seen.
From the barn to my first design
Working with therapeutic horses for individuals with special needs brought me to Tara, my riding instructor. She introduced me to Signature Leather gloves. I imagined a pair in my San Francisco football colours, and Signature Leather's talented team embraced the idea. Together we explored their quality leathers and refined the colours until the gloves felt personal to me. Their care and craftsmanship helped turn one 49ers-inspired pair into CLG Sports.
